Backpack: Get Organized and Collaborate

In my recent post, I wrote about my decision to convert my half-way done blog, dubbed ‘BLOGish’ into PHP 5.

BLOGish uses PHP-Trackback — a library I wrote while back whilst experimenting with trackbacking (it was actually was adopted by some). You can checkout PHP-Trackback at its SourceForge homepage.

Whilst converting the library to PHP 5, I thought it should be nice to add trackbacking capabilities to TXP. I googled around to see if someone has done it by now and found this on TXP forums:

“A short while back, I started to integrate http://phptrackback.sourceforge.net/docs/ with TXP, but I got side tracked. It is a fairly straight forward approach. Create a table to hold the Trackback specific info, modify the UI to manually send trackbacks, create a plug-in to output the trackback tags and list the received pings.”

Well Manfre, that is exactly what I am going to do.

2005-02-01 / UPDATE:
romej dot com has implemented PHP Trackback to his site. He also said he will have an implementation tutorial up soon. Cool!

this may be a dumb question, but what is the expert field for? Since there is no excerpt field, is that just a major typo in the class?
