As a Mac user, I use Mail.app to send, receive and read emails. I used to work with Thunderbird (and I loved it) but I switched to Apple’s Mail because it is more integrated with other applications, mainly OS-X’s Address Book.
There was this one feature I absolutely LOVED in Thunderbird. I am talking about the Multiple Identities feature. It basically allows you to setup one account with many addresses. This is very helpful if you have many email pointers/forwarders and you want to send emails from these different addresses.
I really missed this feature in Mail.app. That is until I found a solution. The solution I found is extremely simple: You simply need to enter multiple comma-separated email addresses in your account settings and they’ll each show up in the address list when you compose a message.
You may have already knew this but I didn’t and I am now happy I do :)

This is great. Except… In Thunderbird I can have different fullnames associated with different email addresses. IE, if my email address was bob@example.com and my email server had an alias for bob+alice@example.com that goes to both bob@example.com and alice@example.com, I can handle this with TB creating these identities:Bob smith
Bob and Alice Smith
So, mail.app allows other addresses but not other Full Names. #

Sorry. well, duh. you probably (maybe) realize I had email addresses in broken brackets that did not show up in the previous post because it was read as posible html code. But you probably get the picture. I want a different full name associated with each different email address.f #
