Is google going to buy Opera? Maybe. Former president of Yahoo! Europe Pierre Chappaz claims to have a reliable source telling him that Google is about to buy web browser company Opera.
A Google Browser is something that’s been speculated about for years now, but they already have a big stake in Mozilla; why go after Opera? Opera Watch says Opera PR has issued an outright denial, saying “Rumors come and go. Google is not buying Opera.” Who to believe? I think I’ll go with the PR folks.
Will we see Goopera anytime soon?
